Roselli's traditional Axe with a shorter handle, is an effective wood cutting tool, whether used while camping or at the summer cottage.
The wide blade angle prevents the axe from getting stuck, and in addition to wood cutting, it can be used for whittling as well. Comes with a simplistic, light vegetable tanned Finnish leather case to protect the edge and a practical loop which enables carrying in a belt or attaching to a backpack. The handle is made from birch and coated with linseed oil to ensure a firm grip, even when wet.
Crafted, sharpened and perfected by hand in Harmoinen, Finland.

Carbon steel blade care: carbon steel knives require extra care to prevent rusting and oxidisation of the surface. These knives should not be placed in a dishwasher or allowed to soak in water. After use we recommend cleaning the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly, and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to the blade’s surface. If your blade shows signs of rust, use some steel wool to remove it and then apply some oil to the blade. To keep the blade razor sharp, use a honing, or sharpening, steel. After some use, the steel blade will develop a patina, a darkening which is desirable and an indication of its age.
Roselli knives are made in Harmoinen, Finland at the workshop founded by blade-smith Heimo Roselli. A self-taught smith, Heimo started forging in 1974 and since 1976 he has been making knives full time. Roselli makes simple, unique and great looking knives using carbon steel blades, birch handles and leather sheaths.
