The Boker Daily Knives AK1 Drop Point N690 is a purpose-driven interpretation of the popular AK1 concept. Designed in cooperation with young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, this compact fixed blade knife is built for users who value durability, low maintenance, and modern EDC performance.
Born in Fulda, Germany, in 1993, Alex Kremer began making knives at the age of 18. His designs are influenced by Scandinavian landscapes and focus on clean lines, functional reduction, and everyday practicality. The AK1 Drop Point embodies this philosophy in its purest form - compact, capable, and designed for daily use.
The drop point blade made from European Böhler N690 steel is known for its solid edge retention, high toughness, and reliable corrosion resistance. This makes the knife ideal for everyday cutting tasks, urban EDC, and light outdoor applications.
The black Richlite handle scales give the knife a modern, technical appearance while offering excellent durability and a comfortable grip. Richlite is highly resistant to moisture and temperature changes, making it perfectly suited for everyday carry. The ergonomic shape ensures secure handling and precise control.
The reversible lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be rotated and fully concealed inside the handle when the scales are removed. This keeps the knife slim and unobtrusive, ideal for discreet everyday carry.
Handcrafted at the Boker Manufactory in Solingen, Germany, this AK1 reflects premium craftsmanship and precise manufacturing. The custom-fit Kydex sheath with belt clip provides secure, lightweight, and weather-resistant carry for modern EDC use.

The history of Boker can be traced back to the 17th century. In the 1800’s the German tool maker was producing swords and other blades for use in the various wars that were going on in Europe at the time. In the1860’s the company had split with part of the family emigrating and setting up factories in America. The German and American factories produced similar products. Both used the “Tree Brand” logo. The “Tree Brand” logo represents the giant chestnut tree that was at the front of the original Boker factory in Remscheid, Germany in the 17th century.
