One of the most successful knife designers in the world, with a model series as timeless as it is approachable, plus proven craftsmanship made in Solingen - Burnley burns, for a knife treat à la Boker. US knifemaker Lucas Burnley from Oregon has probably created one of the most influential designs of the 21st century with the Boker Plus Kwaiken. With its clear and practical shape, the modern pocket knife has become a true icon. The clean lines and slim design, which nevertheless accommodates the entire blade when closed, are absolutely unique. It is the further development of the well-known Burnley Kwaiken Classic, a bushcraft knife also in the neo-Japanese style. Intuitive operation is a particular focus of this compact button lock version, as the ball bearing blade made from powder metallurgy CPM MagnaCut (62-63HRC) opens with a flipper and unlocks with just one press of the button on the front handle scale. The design is underlined by the high strength aluminum scales, which give the knife a very special look. The slim design and exclusive material make the Kwaiken an elegant crossover between a gentleman's folder and a tactical knife. Equipped with a deep-carry clip (tip-up/r), lanyard hole and quality felt sheath for storage. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen.

The history of Boker can be traced back to the 17th century. In the 1800’s the German tool maker was producing swords and other blades for use in the various wars that were going on in Europe at the time. In the1860’s the company had split with part of the family emigrating and setting up factories in America. The German and American factories produced similar products. Both used the “Tree Brand” logo. The “Tree Brand” logo represents the giant chestnut tree that was at the front of the original Boker factory in Remscheid, Germany in the 17th century.
