Cudeman MT-4 pocket folder review.By: david on 31 July 2016Hi fellow blade enthusiasts. I recently purchased this Cudeman MT-4 folder from KSA and have had it about a week now or so. I have to say another very nice knife for the money, [i aslo purchased the mt-5 survival] the blade on this pocket folder is convex curved and thus the cutting action is superb for whittling wood and probably anything else you may use it on. The thickness of the blade spine and the handle is where the strength lies with this knife. The steel is excellent quality stainless and the blade holds it's edge superbly, i know as i have tested it out all week whittling coastal tea tree and other woods and its excellent period. Still blazing sharp hehe! The locking action is liner lock and the stainless locking mechanism is strong and sturdy and clicks into place securely, however with any new folder like this you have to break it in by opening/closing a few times to bed the mechanism in properly, a drop of singer oil is a good one, thats easily done though. Again Cudeman has gone with 3 hex ss bolts which gives maximum strength per surface area on the handle and allows one to remove if needed for cleaning or tuning etc. It feels nice and solid in the hand but is not too heavy to be a burden carrying it either. The nylon sheath/pouch that it comes with is well made very functional and should last quite a while, again double stitched along the seams and with a clip rear and front for easy removal from belt and safely keeps the knife in place. I got two excellent hand finished spanish knives for around $220, thats a bargain in my view!! Look out for this Cudeman company, they are real value for money i believe. I'm very happy with both knives. There really is something to be said for an engineered product that looks great, is very well made, and functions excellent too. When those 3 are all aligned, thats when you have a winner i believe. These knives are winners. I want another one now hehe, just want it [i know, in a shocker!!!]. :-) Regards; Dave B, Rye, Vic.
